Lion partners with TCS to drive IT overhaul & AI innovation

Sat, 29th Nov 2025

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into a partnership with Lion, a major beverage company headquartered in Sydney, to manage and transform the business's information technology landscape. The collaboration aims to support Lion's expansion plans and facilitate the adoption of artificial intelligence across its operations in Australia and New Zealand.

Technology overhaul

Under the agreement, TCS will lead Lion's shift from legacy IT systems to a cloud-based infrastructure. The process will include modernising core technology platforms, enhancing cybersecurity, and developing new applications tailored to Lion's business needs. The target is to improve operational resilience and automate services, with a particular focus on integrating artificial intelligence to enable smarter decision making.

TCS will roll out its Cognix platform during the transformation. This system is designed to increase service resiliency, business agility, and deliver a better experience for Lion's customers. In addition, the use of Cognix will simplify workflows and introduce increased automation across Lion's technology operations.

AI and analytics

Artificial intelligence will be deployed to automate processes and generate data-driven insights for Lion's staff. TCS has indicated that advanced analytics powered by AI will inform business decisions, help manage revenue strategies, and provide personalised solutions for both customers and employees. AI-driven health metrics and insights will be used to optimise technology and support function-specific improvements throughout the company.

The aim is to enable Lion's people to access the tools and data needed to deliver efficient services and improved customer satisfaction, with emphasis on cost optimisation and scaling the business.

Operational impact

Efforts to modernise the IT environment are expected to increase Lion's operational efficiency and security posture. By moving to scalable cloud solutions and strengthening cybersecurity protocols, Lion seeks to reduce risk while ensuring that systems can support future growth.

The partnership is positioned to foster ongoing innovation throughout the enterprise, driven by continuous updates to technology and data analytics. TCS's experience in the consumer goods sector, combined with its automation and cloud capabilities, will provide Lion with the structure required for enhanced productivity and business resilience.
