2degrees promotes Emma-Kate Greer to Chief Corporate Affairs Officer
Emma-Kate Greer had always been passionate about advocating for companies she believed in. She had worked for some of the largest companies in New Zealand, including Telecom, Genesis and TVNZ, but it was when she joined 2degrees as General Manager Corporate Affairs and Strategy that she felt like she had found her true calling.
Now, just a few months after joining the company, Emma-Kate has been promoted to the position of Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. Mark Callander, the Chief Executive of 2degrees, has praised Emma-Kate, saying that she is a "fierce advocate for the great work happening right across 2degrees."
Emma-Kate is thrilled with her new role, saying that the 2degrees business is incredibly purpose-driven, which drives the work of the team. She explained that, in addition to the traditional corporate affairs functions, the team is particularly focused on strengthening 2degrees' Kaupapa Mori initiatives, engaging Mana Whenua, and continuing its focus on sustainability.
"I am incredibly excited to work for an organisation passionate about its purpose, growing and expanding into new sectors, and generally challenging the status quo in a bid to benefit New Zealand and Kiwi consumers," said Emma-Kate.
Emma-Kate's impressive educational background includes a Senior Executive Master of Business Administration from Melbourne Business School and a Master of Digital Business from the University of Waikato. She is looking forward to using her skills and experience to help 2degrees achieve its goals.
With Emma-Kate at the helm of 2degrees' corporate affairs team, the company is well-positioned to continue its impressive growth and to continue to make a positive impact on New Zealand and its people.
