FYI, this story is more than a year old

Adobe has announced a major update to the Creative Cloud video tools ahead of the National Association of Broadcasters Show (NAB).

This release, now available to customers, delivers significant new features to allow video producers to create, deliver and monetise video assets faster.

These include new capabilities for graphic titles, animation, polishing audio and sharing assets; support for the latest video formations, such as HDR, VR and 4K; new integrations with Adobe Stock; and advanced artificial intelligence capabilities powered by Adobe Sensei.

“I've been using all of the Adobe creative programmes as part of my visualisation process since the early days in movies including The Aviator, Avatar and Hugo,” says visual effects supervisor of The Jungle Book Rob Legato.

“I rely on Creative Cloud to help me pre-visualise and freely experiment on all my films, creating an opportunity to take our creative process to the next level.

Adobe has also announced a partnership with Pond5, further expanding the video offering in Adobe Stock.

Sourced from an international community of artists across a mix of modern, sought-after content themes - such as lifestyle, recreation, sports, cinematic and aerial footage - the addition of Pond5 video library will give video producers and designers access to one of the industry's largest collections – all natively integrated into Creative Cloud applications.

“Our heritage is taking complex challenges and simplifying them so you can concentrate on storytelling and professional, quality work,” Adobe digital media vice president Steven Warner says.

“All video producers – whether they're part of the major media companies or up-and-coming YouTubers – can now bring their creative vision to life without having to be motion graphics or audio experts.

Adobe is also celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Premiere Pro with Make the Cut – a first-of-its-kind video editing competition in partnership with Imagine Dragons.

The contest recently closed with thousands of entries worldwide, including multiple entries from Australia and New Zealand.

Winners in several categories will be announced in early May.
