Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise launches new Ethernet switch range to help SMBs
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise is introducing a new range of gigabit Ethernet switches in a bid to address several business issues experienced by small to medium businesses.
The new range is designed to help SMBs adapt to modern communication systems and technology, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise explains in a statement.
The company was recently positioned as a Visionary in Gartner Magic Quadrant in Wired and Wireless LAN Access Infrastructure for the fourth year running.
The Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch 6350 Gigabit Ethernet LAN switches aim to help SMBs address issues regarding mobility, collaboration, IoT and converged infrastructure, all requiring IP networking and all of which were noted in the top 10 SMB business issues, IT prioritise and IT challenges for 2015, according to a techaisle survey.
"Technology is one means SMBs can use to find better tangible business outcomes," says Stephane Robineau, vice president, Networks Business, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise. "Making the technology simple to implement and use, while meeting the needs of the business, is why we have expanded the reach of our OmniSwitch product portfolio into the SMB market.
"The OmniSwitch 6350 provides enterprise performance and a good value for the SMB market," she says.
Robineau says the new range expands enhanced IP infrastructure options for SMBs, and enables Alacatel-Lucent Enterprise business partners to offer a single vendor, lab tested and field proven network, mobility and IP telephony solutions for SMBs.
The new Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch 6350 Switch range is a series of fixed configuration and managed Gigabit Ethernet switches available in 24 or 48 ports, with or without PoE/PoE+, to create the exact network for any small business, Robineau explains.
"This delivers a lab tested and field proven, gigabit converged voice/data/Wi-Fi(R) turn-key solution for SMBs, providing enterprise class network performance, at the value SMBs desire," Robineau adds.
