FYI, this story is more than a year old

Audi  has purchased exclusive rights to advertise on Vancouver International Airport's ‘Grand Central Wall' - a 12-foot by 21-foot HD LED wall in the Air Canada domestic terminal.

Astral Out of Home, which has the advertising contract for Vancouver International Airport, says it is actively deploying ‘a multitude' of new digital products for 2016.

Benjamin Mathieu, Astral Out of Home general manager, airports, says the installation is the first of several digital landmarks that will be deployed at the airport in the coming months.

“We are introducing additional digital networks at departures and arrivals, offering clients a large range of advertising solutions to adapt long term and short term buys,” Mathieu says.

Vancouver International Airport sees more than 20 million passengers annually.

Astral Out of Home says the deployment of the LED screen marks the first time large-format 4mm pitch LED video has been used in advertising in a Canadian airport.

Under the deal, Audi owns 100% of the digital product and will have ‘total flexibility' on the advertising content.

Astral Out of Home says the Grand Central Wall reaches 100% of all Air Canada terminal passengers and offers high dwell time.

Urania Agas, MediaCom senior vice president, business director, says the prime location and digital format will allow Audi 'to truly own the space and forge a rich connection with consumers'.

Jordan Fatsis, Astral Out of Home vice president of sales, says the company is thrilled that the first digital landmark installed will be owned by such a prestigious brand as Audi.
