Jade Software Corporation has announced that Chief Executive Charlotte Walshe will depart the company effective February 24th, 2023.

Walshe has served in the position since December 2017, spearheading the establishment of a long-term strategic growth framework for Jade across the three lines of business, including Jade Platform, Jade Digital and Jade ThirdEye. Walshe also led company initiatives around company culture, gender pay gap resolution and commencing B Corp certification.

The Christchurch-based company has seen revenue steadily rise under Walshe’s appointment, rising from $33M in 2019 to $41M result for 2022 – a 25% increase – with the company already forecasting a further revenue increase to the end of December 2023.

The increase in profitability can be attributed to Jade’s growth strategy for its anti-money laundering product Jade ThirdEye. Other contributing factors are the increasingly strong customer and partner relationships across the Jade Platform and Jade Digital lines of business as they assist companies with their digital transformations. 

Walshe has indicated her intention is to bring her extensive experience in the technology and export sectors to support New Zealand companies on their governance journeys. 

Justin Mercer, who has been at Jade for more than ten years and is currently Director of Customer, will take the reigns as interim Chief Executive while a recruitment process looks for a permanent replacement.
