Kiwi Linux conference calling all brilliant minds

Thu, 9th Oct 2014
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Preparation for the LCA 2015 is well under way, and earlybird tickets available now. The event will take place next year from January 12th to the 16th at the University of Auckland Business School, in the modern Owen G Glenn Building.

Regarded as one of the best Linux conferences in the Southern Hemisphere, the event is an opportunity for people around the world to talk technology, share their ideas and innovations, and collaborate on open source software projects.

Created with the community in mind, the event brings together bright minds and encourages them to think outside the box and get hands on.

Along with these interactive experiences, there are speakers and delegates on site, who have a lot to offer with great expertise and talent in spades.

Last year the event was held at the University of Western Australia in Perth and welcomed brilliant guests to talk about a range of topics. This year the event will be held in our very own Auckland and will cover everything from astronomy to coding and multimedia.

When buying tickets, there will be three categories to choose from: professional, hobbyist and student. There is also the opportunity to join the army of volunteers and march forth into a day of inventive fun.

If you’d like to register and buy your ticket, you can do so at lca2015.linux.org.au. You can find out more about the event and check out the schedule on the website.

Head on over and find out what you get with your ticket, a number of possible places you can stay in Auckland, all about the Penguin Dinner, the Partners Program and more. Families need not miss out on this event, as there are creche options available.
