Konica Minolta launches new AccurioPress print systems

Tue, 8th Apr 2025

Konica Minolta has introduced its latest digital printing systems, the AccurioPress C14010S and C12010S, which feature an expanded five-colour toner configuration including a high-opacity white toner.

The new models aim to enhance productivity and flexibility in high-volume printing environments by offering high speeds, a wide media range, and advanced automated quality control mechanisms.

The AccurioPress C14010S offers print speeds of up to 140 pages per minute (ppm), while the C12010S model reaches up to 120 ppm. Both models incorporate six Intelligent Media Sensors designed to automatically recognise paper type, weight, and size, thus optimising print settings without requiring manual input.

The systems are engineered to support various media types, from 52 gsm to 450 gsm, including envelopes, embossed paper, polyester, and cut-sheet labels. The integration of high-opacity white toner enables enhanced print applications, allowing businesses to expand their services and explore new revenue opportunities.

In addition to media versatility, the systems support long sheet printing, accommodating sheets up to 1,300 mm in simplex and 900 mm in duplex. Such capabilities offer flexibility for diverse applications such as banners, book covers, and specialty printed items.

The new models target graphic arts sectors, including print service providers, offset and digital printers, and direct mail services. The systems are also suitable for central print rooms and in-plant print operations within enterprises.

Grant Thomas, Product Marketing Manager for Production Print at Konica Minolta Australia, stated, "Konica Minolta's AccurioPress C14010S and C12010S are engineered for efficiency, streamlining operations with advanced smart innovative technology. These new print solutions help operators to work smarter, reduce manual adjustments for unattended, uninterrupted printing, and deliver flawless print results faster with reduced touchpoints and exciting new colour options with the addition of white in the new high-opacity CMYK + white toner."

Key technological features include the Intelligent Quality Optimiser Unit, IQ-601, which features a new inline spectrophotometer for precision in colour profile creation. Additionally, the presses employ Intelligent Media Sensors (IM-104 and IM-105) for consistent, high-quality outputs, minimising user intervention. The IM-105 sensor measures substrate sizes and detects slight variations in paper cutting, working with the IQ-601 to automatically adjust image positioning.

The systems offer automatic print quality adjustments through Automated Quality Adjustments (AQA) and Automatic Inspection Technology (AIT), aiming to maximise press uptime and efficiency.

Grant Thomas added, "Konica Minolta is committed to enhancing its customers' creativity and digital transformation. The new five-colour AccurioPress C14010S and C12010S print systems build on 20 years of digital printing expertise, innovation, and leadership, backed by the dedicated professional support that Konica Minolta is known for. New operator assistance tools and fewer touchpoints let Konica Minolta customers optimise workflows and reduce downtime. This leads to greater creativity that empowers customers to rethink opportunities and identify new, profitable revenue streams."
