Melbourne travellers get state-of-the-art digital signage experience
Travellers at Melbourne Airport are about to get a new digital experience, oOh!media winning a deal which will see it providing state-of-the-art digital signage for the airport.
Included in the new signage innovations which will be delivered for the new T4 domestic terminal is a state-of-the art handing cylindrical digital banner with directional audio, vai a sound shower.
News and weather will be delivered to travellers on big screens.
The new deal also gives oOh!media, Australia's largest reaching out of home company, the rights to new mobile and online opportunities, and exclusive rights to sell advertising for the airport's digital assets across the precinct, which includes T1, T2 and T3 as well as the new T4 domestic terminal.
Robbie Dery, oOh! group director, Fly, says by bundling the online digital assets with digital signage oOh! is able to deliver on a shared vision of providing the ultimate customer experience across all channels that can reach flyers, all while generating further revenue growth.
Melbourne Airport expected to deliver 15 million passengers each year.
The new agreement will also see oOh! upgrade digital and static inventory for the international terminal in the coming month, with ongoing development opportunities across the airport over the contract term.
Andrew Gardiner, Melbourne Airport executive customer, says the airport's decision to extend its relationship with oOh! reflected its vision of delivering more convenience and choice to customers.
