Mentor Group unveils VR tool to boost sales training

Mentor Group has introduced a virtual reality (VR) training solution designed to enhance the development of essential sales skills for their clients.

According to research, VR training boasts a knowledge retention rate of 75%, which surpasses that of traditional learning methods such as lectures, reading, and audio-visual instruction. This elevated retention rate is attributed to VR's capacity to offer immersive and experiential learning environments that engage multiple senses and emotions.

The newly launched technology allows Mentor Group to develop fully immersive virtual environments.

These environments enable users to engage with and explore relatable sales scenarios using Mentor Group's proprietary wearable headsets, the client's own headsets, or other compatible devices, including desktops or laptops. The VR training tool provides businesses with bespoke programmes that are customised to address their specific needs. Users can participate in scenarios, roleplaying activities, and problem-solving tasks within a risk-free environment, affording them the opportunity to refine their skills and techniques without the pressures of client-facing situations.

In addition to its immersive capabilities, the VR solution can be delivered in 29 languages. It supports synthetic media videos—AI-generated content—and features scenarios that can be 'gamified' to enhance the impact of the training. This technology aims to make the training process more engaging for participants.

James Barton, Chief Solutions Officer at Mentor Group, commented on the benefits of the new VR training solution.
