MYOB users can manage accounts straight from their smartphones
Business solutions provider MYOB has today announced the release of MYOB OnTheGo, a free app for MYOB subscribers that allows users to manage their accounts and cash flow straight from their smartphone.
Business owners can create and send invoices, see who owes them money, and record cash and cheque payments, from wherever they are.
The company points to the March 2014 Business Monitor, which revealed that 51% of SMEs use one or more smartphones for business. Andrew Birch, general manager Connected Services, MYOB, says the release of OnTheGo for AccountRight and Essentials clients is part of the ongoing process of MYOB’s commitment to making business life easier.
“Mobile technologies are increasingly blurring the line between personal and work lives and with this comes endless opportunities and applications, especially for small business owners,” says Birch.
“MYOB recognises the need for customers to have mobile functionality. What we are focused on is analysing the state of play, listening to our customers and evolving with the technology to make sure we’re providing the very best.
“MYOB is empowering owners to manage their business on the go - including cash flow. The greater their ability to fit business activity into mobile moments, the more productive they are, leaving more time for working on the business and for enjoying life outside work.”
MYOB OnTheGo brings a selection of AccountRight and Essentials features to mobile devices. Information is then updated in real time to their company file so clients can spend less time doing their bookwork.
Birch says, “the MYOB OnTheGo app reduces the need to re-key data, which improves accuracy and saves our clients and partners time. The office paper trail starts with invoices and receipts - we’re pinpointing the source of that trail and enabling the electronic generation.”
