Optimizely earns Leader title in 2025 Gartner report

Today

Optimizely has been recognised as a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Content Marketing Platforms.

This marks the eighth consecutive year that Optimizely has achieved this status, with the company also positioned highest for 'Ability to Execute' in the 2025 report. The recognition was announced alongside another recent accolade where Optimizely was acknowledged as a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms, noted for both 'Ability to Execute' and 'Completeness of Vision'.

Shafqat Islam, President of Optimizely, spoke about the recognition, stating, "We believe that being named a Leader for the eighth year in a row proves we're delivering what marketers actually need in a Content Marketing Platform—speed, security, and smart collaboration. To support this, we've taken AI from a stand-alone feature to a network of agents that automate the entire content process within CMP, helping teams to move faster and increase productivity. We are honored to have been recognized by Gartner once again, and look forward to continually pushing the boundaries so our customers can stay ahead, no matter how fast the market shifts."

In addition to previous recognitions, Optimizely was also recently named a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Personalization Engines, and a Leader in The Forrester Wave: Experience Optimization Solutions, Q4 2024. In the latter evaluation, Optimizely received the top ranking in both the Strategy and Current Offering categories.

Optimizely's AI capabilities have seen significant integration into their Content Marketing Platform, responding to a growing trend noted by McKinsey which found that AI adoption has nearly doubled since 2023. As of now, 65% of organisations implement generative AI regularly, positioning Optimizely to help marketers enhance productivity, reduce costs, and deliver high-quality content more swiftly.

Rupali Jain, Chief Product Officer at Optimizely, discussed the role of AI in their platform, "Marketers don't just need AI—they need AI that works for them. That's why we're embedding AI agents into our Content Marketing Platform to take on the tedious work and automate complex tasks while ensuring security of your data. Plus, with our comprehensive content operations and performance capabilities—like expansive calendar views, workflows, and reconfigurable dashboards—marketers get the visibility and flexibility they need along every step of the content supply chain."
