FYI, this story is more than a year old

This March 17th, Auckland is hosting an event designed to empower and enable New Zealand businesses.

New Zealand's Employers and Manufacturers Association (EMA) developed SuperTech 2016 to give Kiwi businesses 'inspiration in the digital world'.

According to the creators, SuperTech is about bringing leading digital practitioners and innovators, from New Zealand and overseas into one place, for one day, to give Kiwi businesses a head start in the modern world.

The event has been designed to let attendees explore what a digital strategy looks like for their business, and develop a greater understanding of how digital technology is integral to their business strategy.

This year, the lineup of speakers includes world renowned futurist and innovation strategist Anders Sorman-Nilsson, Justin Baird - former Google innovationist and VP of technology at 1-page.com, and Jane Huxley from Pandora.

Other top speakers include John Edwards (the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner), digital pioneers such as Ian McCrae (Director and CEO, Orion Health), and authorities on the impact of disruptive technologies, including Michael Whitehead (Founder and CEO, WhereScape), Aaron Drew (NZIER), and Glenn Andert (CreativeHQ),

What SuperTech dubs the 'rising stars of the digital economy' will also speak - namely Richard Conway (PureSEO), Tim Pointer (Uprise), Richard Bray (Foundry Innovations), Aaron McDonald (Putti) and Kathleen Gunther (Airwave NZ).

These speakers will talk about critical factors that are influencing and transforming businesses such as digital driven disruption, data, the changing profile of the consumer, digital marketing and engagement strategies, leadership in the digital age, and trends and predictions for the digital future.

SuperTech is being held on Thursday, March 17 at Spark City Conference Centre, Auckland.
