Cloudera partners with AWS & Snowflake in ANZ region
Cloudera has entered into a strategic partnership with AWS and Snowflake to enhance data ingestion, processing, and consumption for AWS customers in Australia and New Zealand.
This collaboration enables AWS customers to unify their data, analytics, and AI workloads by leveraging the combined capabilities of Cloudera and Snowflake, integrated with AWS services such as Amazon S3, Amazon EKS, Amazon RDS, Amazon EC2, Amazon EMR, and Amazon Athena.
Abhas Ricky, Chief Strategy Officer of Cloudera, commented on the partnership, stating, "This partnership accelerates enterprises' lakehouse and analytics deployments across various deployment zones, form factors, and compute engines, offering the best TCO. Customers can now build mission-critical enterprise applications once and deploy anywhere—public cloud, private cloud, their VPC—while sharing data assets between practitioners and data teams."
Michelle Hoover, Senior Vice President of Global Alliances & Channels at Cloudera, also shared her insights, saying, "We're thrilled to collaborate with AWS and Snowflake, delivering a unique alignment among three powerful companies. The positive feedback from our customers affirms we're making a meaningful impact."
The partnership addresses several customer needs including scalable and cost-efficient performance, ecosystem integration, and the provision of secure, real-time insights.
Clients can dynamically scale analytics and AI workloads, optimise costs using Snowflake's compute engine and Cloudera's Iceberg-powered lakehouse, and integrate seamlessly across AWS and hybrid/multi-cloud setups.
The collaboration also provides benefits such as enhanced AI/ML performance, maximised cloud investments, support for multi-cloud strategies, and scalable and secure data management. This allows customers to leverage Cloudera's data lakehouse alongside Snowflake's AI Data Cloud, optimising workflows for AI/ML applications, and ensuring compliance and security.
New use cases facilitated by the integration include an AWS customer extending analytics workflows to Snowflake without moving data, and combining Cloudera's raw data processing with Snowflake's analytical capabilities to create AI/ML pipelines.
Earlier this year, Cloudera expanded its Enterprise AI ecosystem by partnering with companies like Pinecone, Anthropic, Google, and Amazon, alongside Snowflake.
This initiative aims to deliver comprehensive AI solutions to maximise the value of AI for customers.
