Dropbox and iStock team up
Dropbox has entered into a partnership agreement with iStock by Getty Images to offer iStock customers workflow enhancements.
iStock offers subscribers royalty-free stock imagery, video and audio.
The partnership means licensed images, video and audio files instantly available across all of their devices via Dropbox.
"With many iStock customers relying on Dropbox to access and share their files every day, the integration offers a swift, seamless workflow," iStock says in a statement.
Giving users the option to automatically sync all licensed assets directly into their Dropbox folder means that they will no longer need to manually download them one-by-one.
"As our customers increasingly move from screen to screen, creating and consuming content at a faster pace than ever before, it's never been more important to surface the content they need most on whatever device they're using," says Grant Farhall, senior director of product/eCommerce at iStock by Getty Images.
"By integrating Dropbox directly into iStock, our customers can enjoy the unbeatable creative content they can't find anywhere else, now automatically downloaded to their Dropbox folder every time they license an image," he says. Dropbox is fully embedded into iStock.com to enable a simple integration on all customer accounts including both single seat and multi-seat subscribers using iStock TeamShare, allowing customers to have downloads automatically placed in their Dropbox anytime they license an image. Automated syncing directly from lightboxes will follow shortly, along with timeframe-based syncing, enabling customers to retroactively sync content previously downloaded for up to twelve months using pre-determined time periods. Alex Castellarnau, head of design at Dropbox, says, "Millions of creative professionals around the world rely on Dropbox as an integral part of their day-to-day workflows, so we're excited to partner with iStock by Getty Images to better serve our mutual customer.
Castellarnau says, "With iStock's premium content and our collaboration network, individuals and businesses can concentrate less on content management and more on creating amazing things together."
