Freelancer.com has broken through an unprecedented four million jobs posted, on the back of its recent acquisition of vWorker.

The largest freelancing marketplace on the planet now has nearly seven million users from over 234 countries, with projects reaching $US885 million.

After launching less than four years ago, the Australian start-up company continues to expand, translating its site into ten different languages as well as launching regional marketplaces in 14 new countries, reaching a total of 25 regional marketplaces.

Transactions can now be conducted in 15 currencies, with ever-present support available in seven languages - English, Spanish, German, Dutch, French, Indonesian and Filipino.

“We are working aggressively to build a global franchise”, said Matt Barrie, CEO, Freelancer.com.

“I can attribute our success so far to the hard work of our incredible team, that spans just about every continent on the planet at this point.

"Watch this space."

With over 200 staff spread around North America, South America, Asia, Oceania and Europe, Freelancer.com is the only international services marketplace, with the company recently acquiring competitors vWorker/RentACoder.com and Scriptlance.
