IDeaS & Oracle achieve milestone with OHIP integration

Wed, 19th Jun 2024

IDeaS, a provider of hospitality revenue management software and services, has announced a significant milestone with nearly 2,000 properties live on the Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform (OHIP). This integration connects IDeaS RMS solutions, including the G3 RMS, with Oracle's OPERA Cloud platform, accessible through OHIP and the Oracle Cloud Marketplace.

Building upon a 25-year legacy of hospitality innovation, IDeaS and Oracle are nearing a milestone of 10,000 shared clients. The seamless connection of IDeaS G3 RMS with OPERA Cloud via OHIP facilitates faster implementations for their broad network of hoteliers without requiring Oracle's direct intervention.

Connected hotels have shown enthusiasm for the increased efficiency, ease of integration, and the faster interface provided by the platform. IDeaS is currently connecting between 50 and 100 hotels per week, a pace that enables the swift integration of future capabilities and additional IDeaS solutions.

The Oracle Cloud Marketplace is designed as a centralized hub for Oracle customers seeking business applications that extend Oracle Cloud applications. Oracle Cloud, known for its high performance and next-generation security, offers services including SaaS, application development, application hosting, and business analytics. Customers benefit from access to compute, storage, data management, security, integration, high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), and blockchain services, all aimed at enhancing and modernising critical workloads. Oracle Cloud also features Oracle Autonomous Database, which is touted as the industry's first self-driving database.

Klaus Kohlmayr, chief evangelist and development officer at IDeaS, highlighted the significance of this development, stating that the hospitality industry has long sought faster data exchanges and greater capabilities to manage increasing data volumes. "The hospitality industry has long craved faster data exchanges and more capabilities to handle ever-increasing data volumes, and OHIP delivers precisely that. By accelerating data exchange and efficiently transmitting the staggering 12 billion pricing decisions IDeaS processes daily, OHIP empowers us to innovate faster as partners with Oracle," Kohlmayr said. "This goes beyond pricing and forecasting – it unlocks the true potential of data-driven revenue management, allowing hoteliers to make smarter decisions and achieve optimal results."

Laura Calin, vice president of Hospitality Strategy and Solutions Management at Oracle, also commented on the benefits of the Oracle Cloud Marketplace. "Oracle Cloud Marketplace is a treasure trove of some of the best hospitality software and services available on the market today. Our partner IDeaS Revenue Solutions can now take advantage of our self-service integration platform, allowing them to scale deployments and significantly simplify the support model of their interface," Calin stated.

The integration of IDeaS' RMS solutions with Oracle's OPERA Cloud platform through OHIP marks a step forward for the connected properties, providing them with faster implementations, increased efficiency, and easier integration processes.
