Innovid unveils AI updates to automate & enhance ad campaigns

Today

Innovid has introduced a set of product enhancements powered by artificial intelligence aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of advertising campaigns across multiple platforms.

The latest updates include four main features focused on automating manual tasks, enhancing creative output, and driving better campaign results for marketers. These enhancements address issues such as time-consuming asset labelling, creative resizing challenges across formats, optimisation of campaign performance, and rapid scaling of personalised ad content.

AI-driven classification and insights

The newly released Auto Classification feature uses image recognition to automate the process of labelling creative assets. Traditionally, this task required manual tagging, which could be labour-intensive and time-consuming. Now, with AI handling the process, marketers can identify and organise their assets with increased speed and accuracy.

This feature is directly integrated with an Insights Dashboard that provides users with actionable, real-time performance data. According to Innovid, this approach reduces the need for digging through spreadsheets and allows for quicker decision-making based on up-to-date information.

Creative adaptation across formats

Addressing a common challenge in digital advertising, Innovid's Smart Framing solution now automatically adjusts and positions background images so that creative assets fit all ad formats and aspect ratios. This is particularly relevant for campaigns that run across different platforms, where creatives must be resized to maintain brand consistency and visual quality.

Additionally, the Background Image Generation feature allows marketers to swap, edit, or enhance visuals in bulk. This bulk-editing capability is designed for retail media and product campaigns where a large volume of creatives often needs to be updated simultaneously, helping teams maintain a uniform look while accommodating rapid changes in campaign requirements.

Real-time campaign optimisation

To improve campaign effectiveness, Innovid has introduced Auto Optimization, which leverages neural network-powered analytics to identify and serve the top-performing creative assets for each impression across the open web. This system continuously learns from campaign data, adjusting creative choices on the fly to maximise outcomes without requiring manual A/B tests or intervention.

With campaign performance shifting in real-time, this feature aims to streamline optimisation processes and achieve smarter delivery, higher effectiveness, and a simplified workflow for advertisers.

Scaling and personalising creative versions

For marketers focused on personalisation and efficiency, the Version Generation tool offers the means to instantly create new variants of copy and imagery through custom prompts and the use of advertiser metadata. This ability allows teams to rapidly develop tailored content for different audiences or product launches while maintaining brand consistency.

The update also includes a Text-to-Speech function, enabling one-click generation of voiceovers from written copy. This can shorten video production timelines and simplifies the creation of regionally tailored content by supporting quick adaptation into different languages or dialects.

"AI should enhance creative work, not compete with it - and that's exactly what we've built with this latest set of features. These tools eliminate the repetitive work, surface smarter insights faster, and give marketers the time to focus on what they do best: creating ideas and campaigns that convert and connect ," said Anthony Yam, EVP, Product, Innovid.

The enhancements have been introduced as part of Innovid's ongoing efforts to integrate practical AI functionality within its advertising technology platform, targeting both the automation of routine tasks and the ability to make data-driven decisions at scale.
