International Workplace Group has announced the opening of a new flexible workspace under its Spaces brand at 50 Albert Street in Auckland's central business district.

The new office space, which opened on 1 November, aims to provide flexible working solutions combined with high-quality work environments, addressing the needs of a wide range of clients from established businesses to startups and individual professionals. This opening is part of International Workplace Group's continued expansion plans in New Zealand, marking its 15th location in the country and the third for the Spaces brand in Auckland.

Alex Sykes, New Zealand Country Manager of International Workplace Group, remarked, "We are thrilled to expand our presence in Auckland with our latest opening, Spaces 50 Albert Street, and we are very pleased to have worked in partnership with Mansons to develop the Spaces brand under a management agreement that will add a cutting-edge workspace to their building."

He elaborated on the company's expansion plans, saying, "We have many other locations in the pipeline including Queen Street, which is scheduled for early next year. Our nationwide expansion plans also come at a pivotal moment when businesses are increasingly recognising the benefits of flexible working for both employee well-being and environmental impact."

The site at 50 Albert Street, a six-star green-rated building, encompasses 32,448 square metres and is well situated in a prime location. The facility features customisable private offices, open-plan coworking spaces, meeting rooms, and creative spaces. Additionally, occupants will have access to a shared roof terrace. Members are offered a comprehensive service to design their office space according to their specific requirements.

Auckland's role as a significant business hub is underscored by Mark Dixon, CEO & Founder of International Workplace Group, who stated, "Auckland is a critical business hub and a fantastic place for us to boost our expansion plans. International Workplace Group's workplace model is proven to increase productivity and allows for a business to scale up or down at significantly reduced costs. While our fast-growing network empowers workers to choose their location to work from based on their needs, whether it's proximity to meetings, their home, after-work activities, school pickups, or even while travelling for work or leisure."

International Workplace Group's strategy includes plans to increase its locations in New Zealand from 15 to over 50 within the next five years. This local growth is part of a wider initiative that saw the company add 465 new locations globally in the first half of 2024.

The company's nationwide membership model provides access to their network's premium office spaces, complementing the demand for hybrid working. This approach is particularly appealing amidst current economic conditions, offering affordability through membership plans starting at $159 per month. These plans permit access to any lounge areas across more than 15 locations in New Zealand, in addition to over 4,000 global sites in over 120 countries.
