Jet Technologies launches innovative finishing solutions in ANZ

Thu, 19th Sep 2024

Jet Technologies has announced the launch of its new Jet iQ range of finishing solutions for the label and packaging markets in Australia and New Zealand. The range is the result of a collaboration with Polly Automatics, combining the intellectual property and expertise of both companies to offer a comprehensive suite of finishing solutions.

This strategic partnership allows Jet Technologies to provide a fully integrated end-to-end solution when combined with its range of digital presses by Screen GP. The Jet iQ range aims to enhance productivity and innovation in the digital print sector.

Jack Malki, Director of Jet Technologies, commented on the new offering, stating, "The partnership with Polly Automatics allows us to close the loop and offer a complete end-to-end process that includes finishing. The Jet iQ range covers everything from slitting, rewinding, and inspection to shrink sleeve processing and digital finishing equipment."

A standout feature of the Jet iQ range is the optional inclusion of the Vesatex Print Bar by Xaar. When this is integrated into a finishing solution, it enables clients to add various digital effects, such as high-build varnish, digital foil, and combinations of gloss and high-build varnishes, all in a single pass. These effects were previously only achievable through conventional print techniques.

Malki highlighted the significant advantages of the Vesatex Print Bar, saying, "To be able to print a high-build varnish of around 100 microns directly onto uncoated wine stocks is an absolute game changer. No primer, no limitations, and outstanding results on a wide range of locally supplied materials. Feedback from printers as well as brand owners has been extremely positive."

Jet Technologies is addressing a long-standing demand by ensuring that the Jet iQ range is well-supported across Australia and New Zealand. The company has committed to providing factory-trained service options to support its broad range of equipment.

"The Australian market has been crying out for a well-supported alternative, and we are thrilled to be able to provide that with the Jet iQ range," Malki said. "Our focus is not just on delivering cutting-edge technology, but also on ensuring that our customers have the support they need to make the most of these innovations."

Jet Technologies will be demonstrating the Jet iQ range and Vesatex Print Bar, in addition to the Screen L350UV, at its Sydney headquarters.
