MTX APAC acquires Adapt IQ NZ to build Salesforce hub

Sat, 27th Dec 2025

MTX APAC has acquired New Zealand-based Salesforce consultancy Adapt IQ NZ in a deal that will create a New Zealand delivery and innovation hub for the Australia and New Zealand markets.

The transaction expands MTX APAC's presence in the Asia Pacific region and adds a dedicated team in New Zealand. The company plans to use the new base to deliver more AI-focused and industry-specific services for public and private sector clients.

MTX APAC is a Salesforce Summit partner that works with government, education, healthcare and enterprise customers. Adapt IQ NZ is also a Salesforce Summit partner and is based in Wellington, with a particular focus on public sector projects on the Salesforce Customer 360 platform.

New Zealand hub

The acquisition will see the Adapt IQ NZ operation become MTX APAC's primary delivery and innovation hub in New Zealand. MTX said the move broadens its regional service portfolio and adds further depth in Salesforce implementation, customer engagement and AI-led digital projects.

The combined business will target sectors such as education and transportation across the APAC region. MTX aims to use its existing accelerators and global delivery network alongside Adapt IQ NZ's local experience and customer engagement work.

MTX APAC sees the deal as part of a longer-term regional strategy. The company has set a goal of becoming a leading technology consulting partner in APAC and is using acquisitions and investment in local teams as part of that plan.

The company said the integration of Adapt IQ NZ will expand its work with both government and private sector customers in Australia and New Zealand. It also expects to increase its use of AI-driven tools and cloud-based services in new and existing client projects.

Leadership changes

As part of the acquisition, Adapt IQ New Zealand Managing Director Sudhakar Arumalla will join MTX APAC in a leadership role. The newly formed New Zealand team will focus on maintaining a local presence while working within MTX's wider regional structure.

The business plans to build stronger client relationships in New Zealand and create more roles for local technology workers. It also intends to continue working with regional partners and stakeholders that already engage with Adapt IQ NZ.

MTX said it will retain a focus on local delivery in New Zealand. It expects that approach to support the use of AI and data-led methods in projects across APAC and in global engagements run from the region.

Executives outline plans

MTX APAC's regional chief executive said the deal aligns with the company's broader ambitions in APAC.

"This acquisition is a strategic leap forward in our mission to serve the APAC region with world-class technology and AI-driven solutions," said Sudeep Acharya, CEO, MTX APAC. "AdapIQ's strong presence in New Zealand, customer focus, and deep Salesforce expertise align perfectly with MTX's values and vision. Together, we will expand our reach across APAC, invest in new capabilities, and build a stronger foundation for long-term innovation and customer success."

Arumalla said the agreement would allow the New Zealand consultancy to work on larger and more complex programmes across the region.

"Joining MTX APAC marks an exciting new chapter for Adapt IQ NZ. Our teams share a passion for innovation, execution excellence, and delivering real outcomes for our clients. By combining our Salesforce strengths with MTX's global AI and digital capabilities, we are exceptionally well-positioned to scale our impact across New Zealand and the broader APAC region," said Arumalla.

Regional growth focus

MTX APAC has stated that its strategy in APAC centres on regional growth, investment in local talent and a stronger competitive presence. The company said the Adapt IQ NZ acquisition supports that approach and contributes additional Salesforce and sector expertise, especially in the public sector.

Adapt IQ NZ has previously specialised in using proprietary implementation accelerators and local knowledge to deliver customer engagement and digital change projects. MTX APAC expects these methods to integrate with its own tools and consulting services across cloud, data analytics and AI.

Both organisations hold Summit-level status in the Salesforce partner ecosystem. That status places them among the higher tiers of Salesforce consulting partners in terms of certifications, project delivery and customer references.

The integration of the Adapt IQ NZ team into MTX APAC is set to proceed alongside ongoing projects in New Zealand. MTX said it plans further investment in New Zealand delivery, with the aim of increasing its role in digital and AI-based projects across the wider APAC region.
