New digital engagement offerings coming to Changi Airport
Singapore's Changi Airport will be getting more digital media and large format digital signage in the coming months after JCDecaux signed an expanded advertising concession for the airport.
The outdoor advertising company says it will expand its footprint in Changi Airport with an enhanced advertising inventory, offering more of its digital media and large format displays after the renewal and expansion of the concession, which it has held since 2011.
Lim Peck Hoon, Changi Airport Group executive vice president of commercial, says JCDecaux has 'changed the face of advertising' at the airport, through the introduction of unique new media.
"We are delighted to continue our partnership with JDecaux and look forward to them delivering highly innovative advertising experiences at Changi Airport," she adds.
JCDecaux says it will be introducing digital engagement solutions leveraging the latest technologies at the Airport.
"This will provide advertisers with the opportunity to engage passengers through various digital platforms, including on their mobile devices," JCDecaux says. "Advertisers will be able to deliver their marketing communications more effectively through the new JCDecaux multi-channel media platform.
The new deal will also see JCDecaux expanding its coverage to the new Terminal 4, scheduled to open in the second half of next year.
JCDecaux says it will introduce the new landmark media at more strategic locations across all four terminals, while enhancing the key media in existing Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
Jean-Charles Decaux, JCDecaux co-chief executive, says since winning the contract in 2011, the company has aimed to build a world class media offer at the airport, including launching several market first innovative digital media formats.
"Today, Changi Airport's status as an iconic airport and advertising destination in Asia is firmly established in the minds of advertisers globally and JCDecaux will strive to continue to innovate at one of the world's best airports for many years to come," Decaux says.
