Revolut launches euro accounts for New Zealand customers

Yesterday

Revolut has announced a new feature allowing customers in New Zealand to establish local accounts for the euro, with additional currencies anticipated later this year.

This update enables New Zealand customers to manage their finances in multiple currencies and receive payments rapidly within the European region. The ability to set up local account details for EUR transfers allows users in New Zealand to handle transactions as efficiently as if they were based in Europe, promising savings in both time and money.

A step-by-step guide accompanies this announcement, detailing how customers can initiate and manage a new currency account via the Revolut App. Users are directed to 'Home' within the main menu of the app, where they should click the three dots, select 'Add new account', and then follow the instructions provided.

Revolut aims to create a globally integrated financial service. The rollout of local accounts for international currencies, beginning with the euro, illustrates this ambition. The feature is designed to simplify the process of receiving international payments for Revolut customers in New Zealand.

Georgia Grange, Head of New Zealand at Revolut, commented on the launch, "We're committed to making all things money, easier and cheaper for our customers across Aotearoa. With today's launch, we're enabling our Kiwi customers to receive payments just like a local in Europe, and experience unprecedented speed and reliability. As we continue to accelerate our growth and diversify our product offering in market, we remain focused on delivering value and revolutionising the way Kiwis manage their money."

In addition to the local accounts feature, Revolut offers a variety of lifestyle and financial products to meet everyday customer needs. Current offerings for paid plan customers include enhanced foreign exchange limits, access to airport lounge passes, and reduced investment fees.
