Teletrac Navman launches advanced asset tracker updates

Today

Teletrac Navman has introduced significant updates to its asset tracker portfolio, featuring new one-time install devices with advanced indoor tracking capabilities for comprehensive real-time location visibility.

The newly updated asset trackers are designed for both indoor and outdoor equipment and boast a ten-year battery life, which is aimed at minimising disruption and lowering maintenance costs.

These improvements address the challenges faced by businesses managing assets across various locations.

The inclusion of high accuracy indoor tracking enhances their suitability for a variety of applications, such as warehouse asset management and monitoring of construction equipment and other high-value assets.

The AI-powered TN360 and TN360 ACM platforms will provide users with real-time asset location data.

These platforms cater to fleet, asset, and construction equipment management needs, offering insights into location, maintenance, and utilisation across powered and non-powered assets. This level of information aims to assist businesses in making informed decisions about asset mobility, management efficiency, security, and sustainability.

Doug Haebig, Director, Product Management at Teletrac Navman, commented, "Our customers' assets are becoming more utilised and operations more dispersed and challenging to manage.

The last thing you want is in-demand assets disappearing from your tracking platform because of shorter battery life or signal strength capabilities, and the associated costs of refitting them with new trackers.

"Businesses need greater robustness and functionality, as well as improved connectivity to alleviate some of their operational challenges."

"Our new market-leading devices will give asset managers the visibility they need to streamline and protect operations through a one-time install."

The new features of the trackers include optimised performance with ten years of battery life for a low-maintenance, 'install once' solution, enhanced indoor and outdoor high accuracy tracking, global connectivity through 4G with 2G fallback, a theft recovery mode, durable housing rated at IP68 and IK07, and self-installation capabilities.

Teletrac Navman has seen high demand for its existing range of asset tracking devices, which are already being used across various non-powered asset applications.

The company has responded to this demand by developing new functionalities and capabilities tailored to different use cases.
