FYI, this story is more than a year old

The board of Plan-b has strengthened its ranks with the appointment of Vector chairman Michael Stiassny.

Stiassny, also a senior partner in independent corporate advisory and turnaround firm KordaMentha joins New Zealand’s only end-to-end business continuity provider effective immediately.

“Having someone of Mr Stiassny’s stature on board positions Plan-b on a par with our customers,” says Gray Mathias, Plan-b chairman.

“It is important that we behave in a manner commensurate with the clients we serve and that our corporate governance is of the highest order.”

From being Auckland focused five years ago, Plan-b now provides nationwide business critical services to many of New Zealand’s top organisations.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Michael Stiassny to the Plan-b board, Mathias says.

"Having a board member of his calibre signals to the market how weighty the issues are that Plan-b addresses.

"We are serious about helping New Zealand businesses act responsibly and prudently to meet their fiduciary obligations and mitigate commercial risk through comprehensive business continuity practices.

With over 30 years’ experience in New Zealand and the UK, Stiassny joins existing Board members Gray Mathias, Ian Forrester and Andrew Bagnall.

His financial consulting experience encompasses insolvency, company restructuring, due diligence and the provision of strategic financial and management advice.
