FYI, this story is more than a year old

Dropbox has been named a leader in 'The Forrester Wave: Enterprise File Sync and Share Platforms, Cloud Solutions, Q1 2016' report.

More than 150,000 businesses and organisations use Dropbox business to power their work, according to the company, and this announcement recognises its successful technology strategies and advanced cloud architecture.

Forrester research found that "Dropbox's cloud services support the speed and scale requirements of enterprises that collaborate widely on a range of file types between internal and external participants." To that end, "enterprise customers report a high level of satisfaction with Dropbox, particularly in areas such as mobility and ease of learning," states the report.

"The way we work has evolved and businesses are looking to transform their workflows with solutions that are easy to use, mobile and enterprise-ready," says Thomas Hansen, Dropbox global vice president of sales and channel.

"With our focus on building the simplest and most robust platform for companies to manage and collaborate on their work, it's great to see Forrester recognise us as a leader in this rapidly growing global market," he says.

Forrester goes on to say that Dropbox has recently launched an enterprise customer success program designed to support "large, premium accounts." As a result of this initiative, the report states that the company "has moved quickly to enhance its key enterprise offering, Dropbox Business, with API capabilities, native integrations with key providers such as Adobe and Microsoft, and partnerships with security and eDiscovery providers, including HP Enterprise.

"We believe this recognition is a testament to the investments we've made in the success of our customers and in our commitment to keep innovating," Dropbox said in a statement.
