2010 yMedia Challenge launches
yMedia sets out to connect students, industry and non-profit organisations to develop new media initiatives for collective growth.
Earlier this week, yMedia held its first briefing and working session at the AUT business school. Student teams, community groups and mentors met each other for the first time to find out more about each other.
“We are blown away with the talent and enthusiasm of this year’s participants and can’t wait to see each project develop over the next eight weeks,’ said the organisers.
Students are now setting up their own blogs that will allow you to meet the participants and check out their progress. Final briefs have to be completed by June 25th and presented in a one-minute video posted on the team blog.
The New Zealand Herald, Mr Vintage, Orcon, Semi-Permanent, Microsoft, Department of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Youth Development and Media Design School, AUT, Terabyte and Running with Scissors are all supporters of the project.
