Adobe XD gets another update packed full of features
Adobe Experience Design is built from the ground up to address the complex needs of UX designers.
It boasts tools that eliminate speedbumps and deliver breakthrough performance on everything from wireframes and high-fidelity designs to interactive prototypes.
It's an all-in-one tool for designing, prototyping and sharing user experiences.
These user experience designs are a crucial part of the early planning be for website or mobile apps design.
XD allows users to eliminate guesswork by previewing their designs in real time, complete with transitions.
This means that users can make changes and see them immediately applied live on their phone or tablet.
The latest update makes the XD experience even more robust.
Here's an overview of the update:
- The Assets Panel
This feature makes colours and character styles easily available for reuse by adding them to the new Assets panel (formerly the Symbols panel), which automatically includes symbols.
Edit any colour or character style in the panel and the changes will be reflected throughout your document.
- Creative Cloud Libraries
With Creative Cloud Libraries integration, users can access and apply colours and character styles created in Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, and other Creative Cloud applications from inside XD, and reuse them anywhere in their documents.
- Updated UI resources
Users can jumpstart their designs for Apple iOS, Google Material Design, and Microsoft Windows devices using high-quality user interface components such as layouts, patterns, and symbols.
- Paste styles
Copy the style from one object and paste it onto another to apply all the appearance properties, including transparency, fill, border, shadow, and blur.
- Paste interaction
Users can save time wiring up prototypes by copying and pasting interactions, including target, transition, easing, and timing from one object to another.
- Improved mobile UX/UI
With the updated user experience for iOS and Android, users can make prototypes available offline and share the prototype URL right from the app.
Adobe is updating XD every month, so users can expect a growing list of features.
