Teletrac Navman launches Energy Hub for mixed fleets

Teletrac Navman has launched Energy Hub within its TN360 fleet management platform, giving fleet operators a single view of energy data across mixed-energy fleets.

The launch addresses a growing issue for businesses running electric, hybrid and conventional vehicles: energy information is often spread across fuel cards, charging systems and fleet software.

Energy Hub combines EV charging data, fuel transaction information and broader energy reporting in one system. It covers charging from home, depot and public networks, alongside traditional fuel use and other alternative energy types beyond petrol and diesel.

For fleet managers, the tool provides dashboard views of energy consumption, transaction volumes, cost per kilowatt hour and overall spending. It also includes live charging status, charging event tracking and public charging location data.

Another feature is visibility into vehicle readiness for electric and hybrid fleets. Managers can see real-time battery state of charge and estimated remaining range, helping them monitor vehicle availability across daily operations.

The platform also adds alerts and exception-based reporting to flag overcharging, unusual fuel transactions and inefficient charging behaviour. Fuel card transaction data from external providers can be brought into the platform for reporting and spend reconciliation, while sensitive card information is not stored.

Energy Hub also supports EV charging reimbursement. Business-related energy costs can be calculated and allocated using driver trip classification data, helping organisations manage reimbursement when vehicles are charged away from company depots.

The product arrives as more fleet operators face pressure to control operating costs while meeting environmental reporting and sustainability targets. Private fleets, local government and transport operators are among those managing a more complex mix of vehicle types and energy sources.

Mixed fleets

Running a mixed-energy fleet can create administrative and operational complications because businesses often use separate suppliers and data sources for fuel and charging. Public charging networks, depot chargers, home charging arrangements and fuel card providers can all generate different reporting formats, which then need to be reconciled with telematics data from vehicles in service.

Teletrac Navman is positioning Energy Hub as a single operational layer over those fragmented systems. In practice, that means fleet teams can review energy use, spending and exceptions within TN360 rather than moving between multiple software tools.

The addition of reimbursement functions may be particularly relevant for businesses whose drivers charge company vehicles at home. As EV adoption expands in commercial fleets, determining what share of household electricity use relates to business travel has become a practical issue for employers and drivers alike.

Samaha said the company sees visibility and integration as central issues for fleet operators managing this transition.
