Voyager Internet takes out top spot in Deloitte Fast 50

The 2014 national winners for the Deloitte Fast 50 have been announced, and a number of companies in the technology sector were among the top.

Deloitte partner Bill Hale says these results underscore New Zealand's economic recovery and high levels of business confidence.

“There are more companies out there growing faster than ever before, particularly in Auckland,” he says.

“While a broad cross-section of business is represented in this year’s index, a growing number of Fast 50 companies earn their keep helping other small-to-medium sized businesses make better use of technology," Hale says.

Voyager Internet took out the number one spot with a growth of 1391.43 percent and was the winner of the Fastest Growing Technology Business in New Zealand.

This company is a business and wholesale focused internet service provider, supplying domain names, hosting, broadband, voice communication services as well as cloud telecommunications to more than 25,000 customers.

The in-house team has developed three specialised software systems along with other solutions for phones, IT design and architecture.

Voyager has approximately 100,000 company domain names for 20,000 business around the country.

Offering self-provisioning portals, white labelling and low volume rates, Voyager says it can provide the tools to build and run an IT company.

Coming in at number 4 was Vend, the cloud based point of sale provider, experiencing 1097.74 percent of growth.

Written in HTML5, it can be operated from any device or platform with a web browser.

Vend accepts any type of payment, is responsive, equipped with management tools, and provides sales and product performance snapshots.

Through Vend you can connect sales, customer and product data to business apps such as Xero, StitchLabs and Swarm.

The top five companies have three year growth rates over 1000 percent. Touchcast was ranked sixth, with a growth of 804.98 percent. This company executes digital strategy, campaigns, experiential events, content and design solutions.

The NZ Deloitte Fast 50 is in its 14th year and recognises NZ’s fastest growing companies. It ranks businesses experiencing rapid revenue growth over three years across a range of sectors, including manufacturer, technology, services, retail and consumer products, exporters and mature business.
